Daily Itinerary - sample only
Day 1 : Arrival at Masoala Forest Lodge, beach exploration, and sunset bonfire.
Day : Search for wildlife in primary forest, snorkeling, and night walk.
Day 3: Visit local village, interact with villagers, and enjoy a traditional meal.
Day 4 : Snorkeling at Tooth Rock and canoeing on the Tampolo River. β
Day 5: Full-day coastal exploration, swimming, kayaking, and picnic lunch.
Day 6: Planting trees at the reforestation project and sunset sailing.
Day 7: Relaxation or wildlife spotting, concluding with a night walk.
Day 8 : Return to Maroantsetra for charter flight back to Antananarivo.
How to get there?
There are two private charter flights weekly - on Wednesdays and Sundays - from Antananarivo (Tana) to Maroansetra, you then are met and transferred to your boat transfer which takes up to two hours depending on the weather conditions.
It is not easy to get to which is why it is so attractive to real, wildlife enthusiasts.
