Home the Residence Nosy Be
A collection of private villas in Nosy Be, Madagascar
A private domain on the quieter side of Nosy Be
Home The Residence sits on the north western side of Nosy Be, away from the busier hotel strip, in a setting that feels calm and protected. It is not a resort in the traditional sense. It is a privately owned estate of more than 60 hectares overlooking the Bay of Befotaka and facing the sacred island of Nosy Fanihy.
You are about 15 kilometres from the airport, close enough for an easy transfer, yet far enough to feel removed. Mont Passot and several of the island’s best beaches are within easy reach, but once you are on the property, there is little reason to leave unless you choose to.
Space, privacy and understated design
Accommodation is spread across four different styles, each with its own character. Some are set higher on the estate with elevated views, others sit directly on the beachfront. Sizes range from generous lodge suites to expansive private villas of up to 500 square metres.
Sea views are a defining feature and several categories offer direct access to the sand. Depending on your choice, you may have a private pool or share one within your section of the estate.
The architecture blends into the landscape rather than dominating it. Natural materials such as wood and stone are used throughout. Gardens soften the lines of the buildings and green roofs help the structures settle into their surroundings. The overall feel is refined but relaxed, comfortable without being showy.
Villa offerings & layouts
Home The Residence comprises a collection of fully private villas and spacious residences, designed as individual homes rather than standard hotel rooms.
The villas range from 2-bedroom to 5-bedroom layouts, accommodating from 2 up to around 10 people.
Many of the villas are seaside or beachfront, with some featuring private infinity pools and outdoor jacuzzis set in tropical gardens.
Sizes vary widely, with individual villas typically from 231 m² up to around 440 m² (or larger) depending on the number of bedrooms and configuration.
Most villas offer panoramic sea views, direct or close access to the beach and/or elevated views over Befotaka Bay.
