Client & Partner Relationship Journey in Madagascar: Sangany Lodge

This journey is designed for organisations looking to strengthen key client and partner relationships through shared experience, time and place — without the feel of a “programme” or a conventional incentive trip.

Accommodation for this journey is selected for its scale, atmosphere and ability to host a group cohesively over a full week. The emphasis is on comfort, warmth and ease rather than luxury finishes or resort-style amenities, allowing the focus to remain on shared experience and relationships.

Based at Sangany Lodge in Nosy Be for a full week, the rhythm is intentionally unhurried. Days include gentle anchor experiences on the water and in nature, balanced with downtime, informal conversation and space for relationships to deepen naturally.

This is not a high-energy corporate itinerary. It is a hosted, experience-led journey designed for small, senior groups who value depth, access and ease.

What makes this journey work for client and partner groups

One base, no rushing

Staying in one place removes friction and reduces logistics. It also keeps the group naturally connected, without forcing it.

Shared experiences, not a rigid programme

Daily anchor experiences create a rhythm, while leaving enough space for real conversation, relationship-building and downtime.

Hosting that feels effortless

The lodge setting allows the group to feel looked after, without the atmosphere of a resort or a corporate event.

Logistics & support

Nosy Be is a straightforward destination when properly coordinated — and that coordination is the difference between a smooth journey and a stressful one.

We manage all elements end-to-end, including flights, transfers, timing, group movement, dietary requirements, excursion planning and contingency considerations, ensuring the experience feels seamless and unforced.

Practical considerations

This is a relaxed, senior style of travel — not a high-intensity itinerary

Sea conditions and weather influence the exact flow of water-based activities

Advance planning is essential, particularly for small, exclusive properties

Group size is typically kept small to preserve quality and cohesion

Overview: how the journey flows

Suggested duration: 7 nights (Nosy Be)

The group stays in one calm base throughout, allowing the week to unfold naturally. Each day includes a curated experience as a gentle anchor point, with plenty of space left open for conversation, rest, swimming, and time together.

A welcome dinner on arrival sets the tone, and the final evening is structured as a relaxed farewell — not a formal event.

Experiences during the week

Below is an example of how a seven-night relationship journey can be paced. Exact sequencing and timings are always refined around weather, sea conditions and the group’s preferences.

Day 1

Shared half-day excursion to Nosy Fanihy- a small, uninhabited, sacred island close to Sangany, known for calm waters, open space and an easy, relaxed boat excursion.
A relaxed first day to settle into the rhythm of the island while still sharing a sense of “we’re here”.

Day 2

Half-day excursion to Tanikely Marine Reserve - a protected marine reserve offering clear water, coral reefs and gentle swimming and snorkelling in a well-managed environment.
A second gentle day that continues the relaxed pace while adding a signature marine experience.

Day 3

Full-day excursion: Nosy Iranja (a pair of islands connected by a tidal sandbank, known for open beaches, wide horizons and a strong sense of space) and Antsoa Lemur Island
A full day on the water and beach — the kind of shared experience that becomes a reference point for the whole group.

Day 4

Half-day excursion: Nosy Komba - a forested island with coastal villages and walking paths, offering a quieter contrast to Nosy Be and a glimpse of local island life.
A lighter day that leaves the afternoon open for downtime, informal conversation and time at the lodge.

Day 5

Lokobe National Park - a protected rainforest reserve reached by boat, home to endemic wildlife and offering guided walks through primary forest.
A change of texture — rainforest, wildlife and a sense of contrast to the marine days.

Day 6

Guided tour of Nosy Be, ending with sundowners on Mont Passot
Followed by a farewell dinner with local music and dancers
A final day that brings the island together — culture, landscape and a calm closing moment for the group.
