Sakatia Dive Centre, Scuba Diving in Nosy Be, Madagascar. Night, day and fluorescent light dives.
Sakatia Lodge Dive Centre has been in operation since 2006 and was originally started by Jose Vieira who, before he moved to Madagascar, had a NAUI dive training centre in East London for 9 years. Jose was one of the first NAUI instructors in South Africa.
Jose brought all of his experience to Nosy Be and was shortly followed by his son Jacques. The successful dive centre is now operated entirely by Jacques and his wife, Sandra. Jacques, originally from Gonubie, South Africa, has been diving in the north west of Madagascar for over 17 years. He has been a qualified NAUI instructor since 2001 and specialises in macro and underwater photography.
Recently Jacques has developed his own NAUI approved course: Fluorescent Light Diver. Both Jacques and Jose are qualified hyperbaric chamber operators and assistants. Sandra is a NAUI Dive Master and originally from the Netherlands. She joined the dive centre in June 2013. The Dive Centre is both NAUI and DAN South Africa affiliated. They are fully equipped (Scubapro) with EANx available at a surcharge.
They offer night diving and fluorescent light (fluo) diving and NAUI courses.
Scuba divers that are not scuba diving insured, will be DAN (Divers Alert Network) insured by Sakatia Lodge for the entire period that they are diving with the dive centre.
MadagasCaT can arrange your entire dive holiday to include flights from Johannesburg, airport transfers, accommodation at Sakatia Lodge as well as your dive packages.
