"I must say that we have been delighted by the whole package you put together for us and we will definitely highly recommend your professionalism and expertise. Many thanks once again for everything and the highlight will remain the awesome and fantastic cruise on the Gecko. "

"A mind blowing trip in every way - I totally zoned out watching stunning scenery pass us by, woken up by plunging into a veritable fish bowl around the many paradise 'found' islands and fortified by delicious and very ample fresh fish, prawns and all things made tasty by Tom. With lemurs on the shoulders, floating a metre above the turtles and the smallest known chameleon in hand, as well as a whole host of wildlife to watch and capture on camera, I feel truly spoilt and as if my Madagascar safari is almost complete. Maurice's fishing skills were very impressive and appreciated even more on my plate. And when Albert retires from skippering, if he doesn't make president, he should definitely be on TV and radio to tell his stories and entertain the masses. Unforgettable holiday - thank you."

We prefer catamarans for charter boats as they are more stable and steadier in the water than mono hulls. They have more space both on deck and below, and they are not as deep keeled as mono hulls allowing them to get closer to reefs, beaches, islands and dive spots.
Yacht GECKO is a 2007 36' Jaguar with four double cabins (two en-suite). She is well fitted and decorated and is a perfect base for a luxury charter holiday to include a little bit of everything on offer. Gecko has two 40hp Yanmar motors and is also a sailing boat, offering the glorious freedom of moving through the water under the silent power of the sails. Gecko offers snorkelling, deep sea fishing, sailing and kayaking and is ideally suited to small groups of 2 to 6 people although she can happily accommodate two families of four. Gecko has good fishing equipment but it is always worthwhile bringing a few lures/rapalas if you are serious fishermen.
Scuba Diving: Gear and a dive master can be arranged to accompany you on charter at an extra charge.
OTHER CAT: We are hoping to acquire a 47' Leopard Power Catamaran early next year. Please contact us for further details, and keep an eye out on this page...
Gecko has a crew of three (skipper, chef and deckhand) who are all exceptionally experienced in both the charter business and the waters around Nosy Be. Many clients return over and over again simply because of the crew.
Gecko has fresh water for showering, a reasonably priced cash bar, the necessary safety equipment, sufficient fridges and freezers to keep all your drinks cold and to ensure a constant supply of ice, 220v and 12v power, up to date navigation equipment, motorised dinghies, water makers, stereo cd players, books, DVD players, games, and much more.
A charter holiday can be booked on its own or incorporated in a longer holiday. Whatever it is you would like to do we will do our utmost to make it happen.

Not everybody understands "boat talk" so to make things easier here are a few obvious words you will need to know.
| the left side of the boat | |
| the other side of the boat | |
| the front of the boat | |
| the back of the boat | |
| anywhere in between | |
| the amount of boat below the water line | |
| lounge | |
| the bathroom | |
| the kitchen | |
| the man who makes the boat work, he also is the boss as far as your safety and happiness is concerned | |
| the poor guy that gets to do all the dirty work! He is the waiter, cleaner of fish, driver of dinghy, and chambermaid; barman, anchor operator, and general Man Friday | |
| Cook - treat him well! |
