This is a great hotel. An absolute must if you have a few extra days - the rain forest at Andisabe and Mitsinjo is worth seeing and the song of the Indri is not to be experienced as easily elsewhere.
Family orientated, friendly staff, great surroundings - two nights here are well worthwhile.
In a four hour walk in the reserve we saw five species of lemur.

"The guide we had at Vakona was truly awesome and in retrospect we should have spent more time there, where the Lemurs are in their natural habitat and not interfered with. He was like a little walking Google. Point and click and you got the zoological/ botanical, French, Malagasy and English name and info. He is largely self educated in English and we were so impressed with his passion for his job."
