Our Opinion: Striving to be a 4 star hotel and certainly seems to be making it. It was closed when we visited but they kindly opened for us and gave us a taste of Amarina hospitality. Situated on the north coast of Nosy Be, Amarina boasts a wonderful private beach facing Nosy Fanihy. Boat trips to the island are available as well as to Tsarabanjina.

There are three grades of rooms/suites and each is beautifully decorated with fresh bright colours.

Amarina is the proud "owner" of a sacred tree and if trimming is required then permission of the son of the ancestors has to be obtained.

Honeymooners benefit from a 15% discount, free massage and romantic candlelit dinner on the beach.

There is an active community project connected to the hotel, a dispensary and one room suited to the physically challenged.
